2-Day Wedding Floristry Mastery Career Course

Our intensive 2-day wedding floristry course is designed to provide you with practical skills and inspiration to kickstart your journey as a wedding florist. Led by experienced floral designers, this comprehensive course offers a blend of interactive floral arranging workshops, demonstrations, essential theories of floral arrangements, and collaborative projects.

From mastering the basics of floral design to exploring advanced techniques and creative installations, you'll have the opportunity to experiment with different arranging styles and push the boundaries of your creativity.

No prior experience is required – but we strongly recommend that you complete our Introduction to Floristry Course to understand basic floral arranging concepts before trying this intermediate course. Join us for an inspiring journey into the world of floristry and take the first step toward realizing your dreams of becoming a florist.

Course Curriculum:

DAY 1

Morning Session:

1. Wedding Floral Design Concepts
   • Learn the theory of selecting the perfect flowers, foliage, and accents to achieve the desired aesthetic and complement the bride's wedding theme
   • Showcasing the commonly requested floral arrangements at weddings
2. Wedding Florist Portfolio Building
   • Understand the role of a wedding florist, from initial consultation to event execution.
   • Learn how to present your ideas, tips for creating your wedding portfolio and insights into pricing, sourcing flowers, and managing wedding-day logistics
3. Flower Conditioning: After the theory demonstration, we'll condition the flowers together learning the essential techniques to prepare and care for fresh blooms.

Afternoon Session:

Wedding Floristry Hands-on Workshop - Make Your Own Bridal Bouquets & Buttonhole & Flower Crown

• Explore a variety of popular bridal bouquet shapes, including cascading, round, hand-tied, etc.
• Lead you through a step-by-step demonstration, showcasing the techniques and principles behind creating beautiful bridal bouquets including tightening the bouquet in a bridal ribbon
• Master wiring and binding techniques to ensure a secure and comfortable fit.
• Put your skills to the test with hands-on practice sessions, where you'll have the opportunity to create your bridal bouquet & buttonhole under the guidance of our instructors

DAY 2

Morning Session:

1. Table Scape Design
   • Master the art of table layout and composition, including the arrangement of tableware, linens, centerpieces, and place settings
   • Explore a variety of decor elements and accessories, including candles, vases, napkin treatments, and personalized details. Learn how to incorporate these elements strategically to enhance the overall look and feel of the tablescape
2. Intermediate Floral Arranging Workshop - Table Scape Creating
   • Put your newfound knowledge into practice with hands-on exercises and live demonstrations and create a beautiful wedding table design with centerpiece flowers, different vases, and accessories

Afternoon Session:

Large Wedding Centrepiece Design:

• Learn how to create breathtaking floral centerpieces that serve as the focal point of the wedding.
• Work in a group to create breathtaking focal pieces that are the heart of any wedding decor. Whether it’s a grand head table, a dramatic entrance arrangement, or an unforgettable ceremony backdrop, you’ll learn how to craft centerpieces that captivate and elevate wedding venues.
• Master floral mechanics including using foam-free structures, grids, and sustainable supports

• Gain confidence in creating large-scale designs to add to your portfolio and attract wedding clients & explore the joy of working with flowers on a grand scale
• Learn firsthand knowledge of the practical challenges florists face in wedding settings, from working with strict timelines to handling unexpected issues in weddings
• Small-group class and a relaxed and inspiring environment with like-minded flower lovers.
• Embrace our signature garden-inspired aesthetic, which combines organic flow, lush textures, and a natural color palette
• Tons of photo-taking opportunities for you after each session.

Take Home:

• You can take home your beautiful bridal creations with seasonal flowers including bouquets, buttonholes, and flower crown
• We provide course handouts that include concepts of wedding design and arrangement, tips for portfolio building, and templates for wedding proposal
• We can provide digital certificate for you after completing the two-day wedding floristry course

Tools Needed:

We'll provide fresh flowers, foliage, vases and arranging tools during the class. However, please bring your own apron, working gloves, a note and pen if you would like to take notes, your own drinking water bottle, and a grocery bag to take your creations home.

Time: 10:30am to 3:30pm each day, with 40 minutes lunch break, please bring your own lunch and arrive 10 minutes before the class.

Cancellation Policy: Please note that due to the nature of floristry, workshops and courses cannot be cancelled or refunded unless under unforeseen circumstances, such as natural disasters. For participants unable to attend and wish to reschedule, please notify us at least 7 days before the scheduled workshop date. We will gladly assist you in rescheduling for another date of the same workshop or provide you with credit to book an alternative workshop on our site.
