Sustainable Floristry Natural Floral Pillar Installation 1-Day Course

Led by experienced floral designers, this comprehensive course offers a blend of interactive floral arranging workshops, demonstrations, essential theories of floral arrangements and collaborative projects. From mastering the basics of floral design to exploring advanced techniques and creative installations, you'll have the opportunity to experiment with different arranging styles and push the boundaries of your creativity.

Whether you're dreaming of opening your own flower shop or pursuing freelance opportunities, this course will equip you with the knowledge, confidence, and portfolio to turn your passion for flowers into a thriving floristry career. 

No prior experience is required – but we strongly recommend that you complete our Introduction to Floristry Workshops to understand basic floral arranging concepts before trying out this intermediate course. Join us for an inspiring journey into the world of floristry and take the first step toward realizing your dreams of becoming a florist.

Course Curriculum: 

Morning Session:

1. Sustainable Installation Techniques
   • Learn how to minimize environmental impact by incorporating sustainable methods into your installations
   • Explore innovative techniques for using eco-friendly materials and reducing waste, including the use of chicken wire as a versatile and reusable base for structural support
2. Design Principles and Planning:
   • Learn the principles of design for large-scale installations, including balance, proportion, and spatial awareness
   • Discover strategies for planning and executing installations that enhance the architectural space and create immersive environments for events and venues

Afternoon Session:

1. Hands-On Floral Pillars / Wedding Arch Building:
   • Roll up your sleeves and dive into a hands-on session where you'll work in teams to build a stunning flower pillar on-site.
   • Put your creativity to the test as you collaborate with fellow participants to design and construct a large-scale installation using sustainable techniques and materials.
2. Closing Remarks and Q&A
   • Take photographs with your finishing works ( & I’ll take photos for you and the creations!)
   • Recap of key learnings from the course & open forum for participants to ask questions and seek further advice

* Lunch is not provided, we'll have an hour break for you to enjoy your lunch time.

For participants unable to attend and wish to reschedule, please notify us at least 7 days before the scheduled workshop date. We will gladly assist you in rescheduling for another date of the same workshop or provide you with credit to book an alternative workshop on our site.
